Lula Mae Decker

Lula Mae Thomason Decker 83 of E. Us Hwy 64 Lexington died Tuesday March 17, 2009 at Lexington Memorial Hospital.   A funeral service will be 6:00 pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Arnold Lewinger and burial 11:00 am Thursday at New Friendship UCC Cemetery. Mrs. Decker was born April 5, 1925 in Davidson County to William Gaither Thomason and Zula Everhart Thomason. She was a retired from Lyncrest and also had worked from Edgewood Apparel. She also owned and operated Decker’s Used Cars. She was a member of New Friendship United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Lee Decker: Brother Willie Thomason and sister, Ida Younts.   Surviving are a son, Rodney Decker and his wife Connie and a daughter Brenda Miller and her husband Jerry all of Lexington.  Four Grandchildren, Shane Decker and his wife Katie, Justin Decker, Barry Miller and his wife Kimberly and Brent Miller all of Lexington. Three Great Grandchildren, Brandon Miller, Ashley Miller and Callie Decker all of Lexington. One brother, David Thomason and his wife Shirley and two sisters, Mabel Thomason and Reba Berrier both of Lexington. A brother in law, Clifton Decker and Sister in law Jane Decker both of Lexington.   The family will receive friends after the service Wednesday night at the Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her daughter E.
