Luther Wesley Lanning

Luther Wesley Lanning, 71, of Rowe Road in Lexington, died Friday April 28, 2017 at his home.   A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Monday May 1, 2017 at Yadkin Baptist in Spencer.   The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.   Mr. Lanning was born December 25, 1945 in Davidson County to George Edward Lanning and Ethel Virginia Michael Lanning. He was formerly employed with Michael & Lanning Masonry. Luther enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and nascar car racing  Mr. Lanning was preceded death by his parents and a brother Robert Lanning.   Surviving are two brothers; Billy Dean Lanning and Ed Lanning (Gayle) both of Lexington, two sisters; Layne Walser of Churchland and Rhonda (James) of Southmont.   Memorials may be made to Donor’s Choice.   Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel assisted in services.
