Carol attended Lexington Senior High School then the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She graduated from UNC-G with a music education major and focused on the study of music while in college. Carol’s employment ranged from teaching in the public school system to secretarial work. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, devoting her time and energy to church projects as she was able. She specifically enjoyed working with the Food Pantry and singing in the choir. Everyone who knew Carol knew how much she loved baking. From multi-layer cakes to holiday treats, Carol enjoyed sharing her confectionary creations with others as much as she did creating them. Carol was also an avid fan of NASCAR. She travelled to several tracks to enjoy the racing and follow her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. Along with her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Louise Taylor. Carol will be remembered for the care that she provided to her family and a life marked by dedication, service, and love for her family.
