Lynda Christine Costner Leonard, 67, of Green Needles Drive, died Friday, April 06, 2012, at the home of her son, Philip Leonard.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Memorial United Church of Christ, with the Rev Kenneth Marshburn and Jonathan Leonard officiating. The famiy will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, Philip, 2475 E. Ridge Road, Salisbury.
Mrs. Leonard was born December 15, 1944, in Burke County, to Forrest Costner and Lattie Shoupe Costner. She was retired from Davidson County Schools; a member of Second United Church of Christ and the Lexington Moose Lodge. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Max Leonard.
Surviving are her sons, Phillip Leonard and wife, Patricia, of Salisbury, Jonathan Lawrence Leonard and wife, Tina and Ira Max Leonard and wife, Georgia, of Lexington; six grandchildren, Brianna, Brittany, Charity, Matthew, Max, and Zachary; five great-grandchildren, Steven, London, Lance, McKenzie, and Connor; brother, Steve Costner of Hickory; and sister, Teresa Fowler of Morganton.
