M. Luther Davis

Marcus Luther Davis, age 90 of Happy Hill Road, Lexington passed away Friday evening February 21, 2020 at Abbotts Creek Center.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Mausoleum Chapel of Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. David Kelley officiating and Entombment will follow. The family will receive friends at Shiloh United Methodist Church Family Life Center from 2:30 until 4:00 PM Tuesday following the service.

Luther was born in Davidson County November 13, 1929 to Frank Davis and Emma Dunning Davis. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Billings Transfer, Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jeremy Davis and 8 brothers and sisters.

Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Peggy Everhart Davis of the home; sons, Scott Davis (Suzanne) and Christopher Davis (Carolyn) all of Lexington; grandchildren, Gena Davis Gouker (Phillip), Cole Davis, Cierra Davis and Victoria Davis; great-grandchildren, Kamryn Davis, Marley Gouker, Kali Gouker and Nathan Gouker and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church, Family Life Center, 943 North NC Highway 150, Lexington 27295 or to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC  27292.
