Mable Patterson

Mable Gladys Thames Patterson, 92, of Andrew Sink Road, died Tuesday March 21, 2017 at Lexington Health Care where she was a resident.  A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday at Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. David Robinson officiating services.  The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Friday March 24, 2017 at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel.  Mrs. Patterson was born May 5, 1924 in Dinwiddie County Virginia to Henry Houston Thames and Edith Driggers Thames.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard Leon Patterson Sr.; a grandson, Jerry Williams; a granddaughter, Rhonda Williams; a son-in-law, Wayne Williams; one brother and two sisters.  Surviving is a son, Howard Patterson Jr and wife Teri., of Florida; three daughters, Pat Hodges and husband Maurice; Linda Horton and husband John; and Nancy Williams, all of Lexington; one sister, Mary Cook, of California; 10 grandchildren, Cynthia Hedrick, Catherine Kinney, Maurice Hodges III, Logan Patterson, Travis Patterson, Richard Dibella, Ryan Oakes, Frank Williams, Jeff Horton, and Sandy Wyatt, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
