Mack Wilford Clanton, 87, of Myers Drive Lexington, died Saturday September 20, 2014 at his home.
A funeral service will be held 11am, Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Clyde Akers officiating services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol Wilson Clanton and brothers Jake Clanton, Wallace Clanton, Harold Clanton.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 Monday at Davidson funeral Home, Lexington Chapel
Mr. Clanton was born June 13, 1927 in Fluvanna Texas, to J. T. Clanton and Hattie Jones Clanton. He was a US Army WWII veteran and retired from FG Molding.
Surviving is a son, Clifford Clanton of Wade North Carolina, Roman Dickt of Indiana; a daughter, Joyce Bell of Lexington; two step sons, Steven Vance of Lexington and Tim Vance of Columbia S.C.; three step daughters, Alice Honeycutt and Tammy Hayes both of Lexington and Shawna Leath of Lexington; four brothers, Clifton Clanton of Michigan, and Billy Joe Clanton of Illinois; and one sister Jettie Goodman of Indiana; and three grandchildren; Ronnald Glenn Cox Jr., Donna Cox Gallimore, Cayla Nicole Clanton and thirteen great-grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
