Madelyn Prince Duvall, age 78, of Lexington, went home to be with the Lord Sunday afternoon (April 3, 2011). Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday (April 6, 2011) at Rolling Heights Faith Baptist Church, with Rev. Wayne Sechrest and Pastor Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:30 until 8:30 pm Tuesday night.
Madelyn was born in Isabella, TN, April 14, 1932 to Henry Prince and Lena Hampton Prince. She touched the lives of many families over the years as she cared for their children in her home and at Cross Baptist Daycare. She was a member of Rolling Heights Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 43 years, Norman Duvall; step grandson, Clay Scott; sisters Mildred Golden, Pauline Elliott and Wanda Tysinger; and her brother, Winston Prince.
Although we grieve the loss of our mother-our hearts are comforted by the words of scripture “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Mrs. Duvall is survived by; two daughters, Janey VonCannon and husband David of Charlotte, Becky Scott and husband Mark of Lexington; three grandchildren, Chris VonCannon and wife Mary of Charlotte, Olivia and Morgan Scott of Lexington; three great-grandchildren, Abrielle, Cole and Micah VonCannon of Charlotte; one sister, Kathleen Wood of Lexington; one brother, Clifford Prince and wife Margaret of Lexington.
