Mae Frizzell Nicholson

Lillie Mae Frizzell Nicholson, 91, of Garland Drive in Lexington, passed away Wednesday November 30, 2022 at her home.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday December 6, 2022 at the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. McGee officiating services. Interment to follow at Forest Hill Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home.

Mae was born July 12, 1931 in Jackson County to the Late Norman Frizzell and Ethel Buchanan Frizzell. Mae is survived by her husband Lewis R. (Rosie) Nicholson who she married on February 1, 1948. She retired from Dixie Furniture. Mae was a lifelong member of Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl, Earl and Vearl Frizzell, sisters Aileen Orr, Tulin Middleton and Lela Barker. Surviving are her children Robert (Lynn) Nicholson and JoAnn (Rick) Hutchins and sis Nina Green of Sylva, also surviving is her grandchildren Marnie Stoker, Bobby (Lorie) Nicholson, Brandon (Brooke) Hutchins and Brooke (Chevy) Coffey, her great-grandchildren, Seth and Cole Hutchins, Mali Coffey, Robert Lewis (Tripp) Nicholson III. She loved to bake and work in her flowers, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of her greatest joys was doing things for others especially her church.
