Magdalene Greer

Magdalene Parks Greer, 95, of Lexington, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at her home after an illness of three months. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Alliance Church by the Rev. Thomas Hicks and the Rev. Don Conrad. Burial will follow at Bethany United Methodist Church cemetery. Mrs. Greer was born in Davidson County on Oct. 1, 1912, to Emery Lee Parks and Emma Jane Hedrick Parks. She was retired from Erlanger Mills and a member of Grace Alliance Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kiff A. Greer, who died in 1971; a daughter, Janice Greer Feezor; a son-in-law, John P. Feezor; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Craver Greer; a half-brother, Roy Hedrick; and a half-sister, Lillie Hedrick Petrea. Surviving are son Donald "Bud" Greer and daughter Betty Ann Broadway, both of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Susanna Feezor Sneed and her husband, Jack, Roger Feezor and his wife, Tanja, Debra Feezor Cox and her husband, Lane, Alan Greer and his wife, Fran, Tammy Greer Brogdon and her husband, John, Ronald Lee Broadway and Melissa Broadway Charles; 12 great-grandchildren, Matthew Feezor, Katie Feezor, Samuel Feezor, Dustin Sneed, Lauren Sneed Shue and her husband, Richard, Tyler Sneed, Emma Cox, Andrew Cox, Alex Greer, Erica Greer, Rusti Broadway and Megan Charles. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
