Magdalene Sidden Phillips, age 90, of West Old Highway 64, Lexington passed away Friday afternoon at Brookstone Retirement Center in Lexington.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Friendship United Methodist Church where she was a member, with Rev. Patrick Snow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Sunday and at other times at the home.
Magdalene was born in Davie County, September 10, 1922 to Rufus Radford Sidden and Betty Anne Stewart Sidden. She was a retired employee of Rose’s Department Store, as Café Manager; and a member of Reeds Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd Emmitt Phillips, Sr. in 2000.
Surviving are her son, Lloyd Phillips, Jr. of the home; 2 granddaughters, Ashley and Rebecca Phillips; sisters, Willie Mae Sidden of Advance, Louise Smith, Doris Thompson, husband William and Nellie Finney, husband Harold all of Lexington; brother, Bobby Sidden, wife Judy of Advance.
The family would like to thank Brookstone Retirement Center, Alzheimers Unit staff for all the love and care given my mother during her stay.
