Magdalene Sidden Phillips

September 10, 1922 — December 7, 2012

Magdalene Sidden Phillips, age 90, of West Old Highway 64, Lexington passed away Friday afternoon at Brookstone Retirement Center in Lexington.    Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Friendship United Methodist Church where she was a member, with Rev. Patrick Snow officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Sunday and at other times at the home.   Magdalene was born in Davie County, September 10, 1922 to Rufus Radford Sidden and Betty Anne Stewart Sidden. She was a retired employee of Rose’s Department Store, as Café Manager; and a member of Reeds Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd Emmitt Phillips, Sr. in 2000.   Surviving are her son, Lloyd Phillips, Jr. of the home; 2 granddaughters, Ashley and Rebecca Phillips; sisters, Willie Mae Sidden of Advance, Louise Smith, Doris Thompson, husband William and Nellie Finney, husband Harold all of Lexington; brother, Bobby Sidden, wife Judy of Advance.   The family would like to thank Brookstone Retirement Center, Alzheimers Unit staff for all the love and care given my mother during her stay.   Memorials may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church, 2840 Friendship Church Road, Lexington, NC  27295   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
