Maggie Lee Forrest Meeks, 90, of Beckner Street, died Wednesday, at Hinkle Hospice House.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at No Creek Primitive Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Eddie Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, and other times at the home.
Ms. Meeks was born August 2, 1924, in Davidson County, to John William Forrest and Hattie Butler Forrest. She was a cook at Golden Age Nursing Home prior to her retirement. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are daughter, Judy Myers Graham and husband Glenn; grandchildren, Robert P. Miller III and wife Camille of Wilmington, Staley Dawn Miller and Phillip Maxwell Miller and wife Terrie, both of Lexington; step-grandchildren, Glenn F. Graham Jr. and wife Shelly, and Gary Graham; great-grandsons, CJ Lowery, Cole Lowery, Tyler Wilfong, Shane and Evan Graham; and a brother, James Forrest and wife Joann of Lexington.
