Maggie Lois Rhodes Wilson, 89, of Old N.C. Highway 64, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, at Carolina House after three years of declining health. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Silver Valley Baptist Church by the Revs. Gene Little and Joe Leach. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mrs. Wilson was born Oct. 20, 1921, in Davidson County to William Edward Rhodes Sr. and Ella Tysinger Rhodes. She was retired from Frank Ix & Sons and was a member of Silver Valley Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were three brothers and three sisters. Surviving are her husband, Arvil Franklin Wilson of Carolina House; son Tony Wilson and wife Doris of Lexington; three daughters, Rita W. Bean and husband Phil and Amelia Cates and husband Korkie, all of Greensboro, and Karen W. Young and husband Kent of Lexington; nine grandchildren, Jessica Williams and husband Chad of Burgaw, Joseph Young and wife Katie, DeAnn Holmes and husband Randy and Darren Wilson, all of Lexington, Lindsey Bradley and husband Jason, Joshua Cates and Caleb Cates, all of Greensboro, Meredith Bean of Arkansas and Erika Cook and husband Matt of High Point; eight great-grandchildren, Ella Williams, Malachi Bradley, Noah Bradley, Addison Bradley, Ryne Holmes, Dylan Holmes, Taylor Wilson and Courtney Wilson; a brother, Herbert Rhodes and wife Reba of Burlington; and three sisters, Ruby Chappell and Peggy Briggs, both of Lexington, and Carolyn Hunt and husband Fred of Charlotte.
