Majel Black Beck, age 93, of Piedmont Crossing, Thomasville, formerly of Old US Highway 64 East, Lexington passed away Friday night at Piedmont Crossing.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Hedrick’s Grove United Church of Christ where she was a life-long member with Rev. William Sowers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Majel was born in Davidson County June 21, 1919 to Yancey Lee Black and Ada Mae Hedrick Black. She was a homemaker, member of the Chancel Choir and the Ladies Bible Class; preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Arnold Beck; sisters, Reba Beck and Arteal Whitlock; brother, Donald Black.
Surviving are; her daughter, Glenda Beck Everhart and husband Charles of Lexington; one granddaughter, Amy Boyte and husband Jonathan; one great-grandchild, Grace Boyte; a sister, Lucille Black Beck.
