Mamie Lee Yountz

Mamie Lee Evans Yountz, age 88, of Clemmons passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

An 11:00 am graveside service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Arcadia United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Mike Duffield officiating.

Mrs. Yountz was born in Davidson County on October 4, 1931 to Lee and Verlie Myers Evans. She retired from Forsyth Medical Center and was a medical secretary for the Labor and Delivery Department there.

Mamie was a member of Arcadia United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are her loving husband, Richard “Rick” Yountz of the home; one son, Timothy Yountz of Clemmons; two sisters, Lula Mae Smith of Clemmons; and Delia Walser of South Carolina; four grandchildren, James Triplett, Madison Yountz,  Kirstyn “Sally” Yountz and Lucas Yountz; a special nephew, Joey Miller; and many other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Arcadia United Methodist Church.

Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the Yountz family.
