Marcene Beauchamp, a cherished resident of Lexington, NC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on December 8, 1933, she lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and creativity.
Marcene dedicated many years to her work in the Finishing Room at Dixie Furniture, where she honed her craft with meticulous care and a well-regarded work ethic. Outside of her professional life, she was legendary among her loved ones for her green thumb in gardening and her skill with a needle and thread. Sewing, quilting, and crocheting were her passions, and countless friends and family members were blessed with her handmade creations. In her quieter moments, Marcene enjoyed settling down with a challenging word search puzzle, always in the company of her beloved kitty cat, Patches, and her feathery friend, Shorty.
She will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by her family, particularly her three devoted daughters: Annette Poole (Bobby), Lawanna Revis (Randy), and Bonnie Eller, all residing in Lexington, as well as her son, Billy Ray Beauchamp, of Colorado, and her sister, Carol Miller, of Faith, NC. Her legacy continues through her eight treasured grandchildren: Tiffany, Shane, Ebony, Amy, Beth, Amanda, Anna and Eric, and her ten great-grandchildren: Michael, Larry, Austin, Cody, Brian, Tori, Pilar, Kenzie, Emma and Maddie.
Marcene now joins her dear parents, Prather William Earnhardt and Pearl Mae Earnhardt, as well as her beloved spouse, Kermit Beauchamp, in eternal rest. She is also reunited with her son, Bobby Joe Beauchamp, and siblings who preceded her in passing: her brother Marvin Earnhardt and sister Kathline Greene.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate her life during the visitation, which will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held 2;00 pm Thursday July 3,2025 at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington chapel with Chaplain Natalie Rubley officiating services, with burial to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Marcene Beauchamp's spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life. Her gentle smile, compassionate heart, and unmatched creativity endowed all who knew her with cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to be directed to Well Care Hospice 146 Dornach Way Advance, NC 27006
