Marcus Chase Brushwood

Marcus Chase Brushwood, 38, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at High Point Regional, surrounded by his family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.

A Celebration of Life service will follow in the chapel.

Chase was born on October 28, 1986, in Forsyth County, to Charlie Arthur Brushwood and Darlene Polburn Brushwood. He worked for many years as a manager at Food Lion and was known for being one of the best workers who would go above and beyond to help his coworkers and anyone else who was in need.

Friendship came naturally to him, a testament to the warmth and generosity of his heart—so much so that one of his closest friends honored him as the godfather to their children. Chase loved spending time with his family and enjoyed fishing, a love that was instilled in him by his mom.

Left to carry on his legacy are his parents, of the home; brothers, James Brushwood and Ellis Brushwood; aunt, Charlene Polburn (Chris Brehm); and cousin, Daniel Polburn (Allison)

For those left to cherish his memory, he will live on in the kind words and actions they make.
