“Love is patient, Love is Kind.” A beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother has left this earth to join her Savior. A loving and kind soul will be eternally missed. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 30, 2009 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church with Rev. Craig D. Saltzer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery Margaret Everhart was born in Davidson County to James Madison Alley and Sadie Lanning Alley. She attended Reeds School and Reeds Baptist Church. She worked at Manhattan Shirt Factory and then was an avid homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Valentine Everhart. She also lost her brother, Jack Alley. Surviving are her four children, Stanley Everhart, and wife, Sharon, Steve “Pete” Everhart, and wife, Sharon, Roger Everhart, and wife, Sharon, Deborah Cecil, and husband, Joe Cecil III. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Mark and Chad Everhart, Jan Newman, David Cecil, Jennifer Bivens, Jason Everhart and Leigh Ann Miller. She leaves nine great-grandchildren, Nick, Austin, Taylor, Madison, Megan, Lucas, Alley, Andy and Conor. She also leaves behind a sister, Hilda Alley Meadows of Roanoke, Virginia and a special beloved friend, Diane Stiers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday, March 29, 2009 at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME and other times at the home on Old Greensboro St. Ext.
