Margaret Roach Byerly

Margaret Roach Byerly, 75, of Davidson County, passed away Tuesday morning, December 2, 2025, at her home.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Friday, December 5, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.

Margaret was born on February 22, 1950, to the late George Adam Roach Sr. and Myrtle Tysinger Roach, in Davidson County. She worked for many years until retirement at PPG.

She found joy in books, spending time reading, coloring, and doing puzzles, finding contentment in expanding her mind while being able to relax. Margaret’s favorite pastime, however, was spending time with her family by talking with her sisters frequently or spending time with her best friend and daughter, Julie.

She and her husband, Bennie, spent 60 wonderful years married and built a life they loved, having their son and daughter, and paving the way for their grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, George Adam Roach Jr; sisters, Hazel Cox and Betty Jo Roach; brothers in law, Jack Laws and Bud Cox; and sisters in law, Doris Roach and Mary Roach.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Bennie Byerly, of the home; son, Benjamin Byerly, of Lexington; daughter Julie Swicegood (Barry), of Tyro; brothers, Larry Roach of Ayden, Luke Roach of Lexington, and David Roach (Linda) of Grand Junction, CO; sisters, Barbara Tate of Lexington, Virginia (Ginger) Leonard of Lexington, and Anna Laws of Lexington; grandchildren, Chasity Watts (Kerry), Tyler Swicegood (Ashley), and Dalton Byerly (Brianna); and great grandchildren, Addison Morgan, Easton Morgan, and Waylon Byerly.
