Margaret Wood Copley

Margaret Pegge Louise Wood Mundy Copley, 88, of Sidney Street, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at The Brian Center.  A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Forest Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Doug Rowe officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the graveside service.  Mrs. Copley was born February 13, 1929, in Davidson County, to Clarence Wood and Lila Peacock Wood. She was retired from Wenonnah/Sealy where she served in the office for 45 years. After retirement she enjoyed her time as an associate at Belk department store. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Denton Mundy and C. Raeford Copley; and stepson, Glenn Copley.  Surviving are sons, Rick Mundy (Julie) of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jack Mundy (Cheryl) of Roanoke, Va.; stepsons, Scott Copley (Stephanie) and Alan Copley all of Lexington; brother, Doster Wood (Pat) of Lexington; her loving canine companions, Taco and Loco; and special friends, Ruth Cohen and Dianne Bohanan (Delbert “Bo”).
