Margaret Coppley

Margaret Cody Coppley, 90, of Old Linwood Road, died Friday, May 29, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. A funeral service will be held 2pm Tuesday, June 2 at Linwood United Methodist Church by the Revs. Joe Lear and Ed Armfield. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Coppley was born April 10, 1925 in Davidson County to Harris Leonard Cody and Rosa Ann Cross Cody. She was a graduate of Ashemore Business School. She retired as a bookkeeper for Dr. Evans and Dr. Burke Pediatrics. She was a member of Linwood United Methodist Church for 71 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Perlie Cody and Odis William “Bunny” Hill, and her sisters, Bertha Coppley, Nola Coppley, Ila “Sis” McCarn, and Virginia Kearns. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Hoyle H. Coppley; her son, Gwyn Coppley; her grandchildren, Chad Coppley, and Kendall Coppley McLemore and husband, Dusty; her great grandsons, Christian Podgaysky and Hunter McLemore; and her sister-in-law, Virginia Hill. Margaret Coppley is and always will be a faithful servant of Jesus Christ.
