Margaret Passmore Glance

Margaret Passmore Glance went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2019 unexpectedly in her home in Winston-Salem.

A funeral service commemorating Margaret's life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel in Winston Salem with Pastors Bill McKenzie and Bob McCaskill officiating. A graveside service will be held at Upper Crabtree Cemetery in Clyde, NC at 3:30 pm on the afternoon of February 16.  The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on February 16 prior to the funeral service.  Born in Cashiers, North Carolina on July 19, 1943.

Margaret was the youngest daughter of JC and Edith Picklesimer Passmore.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her elder sister Shellie Passmore Hutchison of Brevard, North Carolina and her loving husband of 50 years Gene Glance of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Margaret met Gene while attending Brevard College and they were married in 1964. The two resided briefly in Charlotte before moving to Winston-Salem.

Mrs. Glance built a career in the Mortgage industry and worked for various firms across the triad area before founding her own Mortgage company in the late nineties. Margaret was a member of Pinedale Christian Church of Winston Salem. She was an avid plant and flower enthusiast having been gifted with a green thumb. Margaret loved to shop, especially with her only daughter, and recently enjoyed companionship with her toy poodle Naomi. Above all, she most treasured spending time with her two grandchildren and attending their activities. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and  grandmother and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Glance Reams and son-in-law Murray Reams, and grandchildren, Samuel Gene and Emily Elisabeth Reams all of Winston-Salem.
