Margaret Johnson

Margaret Elizabeth Link Johnson, 79 of Sunbridge Nursing Home of Lexington, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center Select Care. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. Roger Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. Ms. Johnson was born September 22, 1928 in Davidson County to Connie Lee Link and Grace Lanier Link. She was a former member of Reedy Creek Church of Christ, and was a true Christian, who was devoted to her family, and a special person to anyone who ever met her. Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by a son Jeffery Kent Johnson. Surviving are a son William Steven Johnson, a daughter Judy Johnson Johnson of Salisbury, a very special brother Benny Link and wife Jenny of Thomasville, three grandchildren Jennifer Barlow, Jody Long, both of Lexington, and Elizabeth Johnson of Winston-Salem; and three great-grandchildren Hannah Long, Nick Long, and Hayley Barlow. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Funeral Home prior to the service and at other times at the home of her brother on Darr Road in Thomasville. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Sunbridge Nursing Home and Select Care Hospital in Winston-Salem for the care give to Ms. Johnson.
