Margaret Ann Smith Lawson

Margaret Ann Smith Lawson, 62, of Swing Dairy Road, died Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center, following a one month illness. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2014, at Near Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Jeff Walser officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at 504 N. NC Highway 150. Mrs. Lawson was born September 9, 1951, in Davidson County, to Charlie Jerome Smith and Dorothy Sue Mauney Smith. Surviving are her husband, Thomas “Pete” Eugene Lawson of the home; son, Donald Oldham Jr. of Lexington; daughter, Christy Smith of Lexington; three grandchildren; brothers, Fred Smith, Charles Smith, David Smith, Rocky Smith, Dewey Smith, and Robert Smith; and sisters, Brenda Smith and Mary Coffey and husband, Donald, all of Lexington.
