Margaret Mccurdy

Margaret Murray McCurdy age 92, formerly of Duke Drive passed away Sunday June 30, 2013 at Piedmont Crossing community of Thomasville. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 2 at Piedmont Crossing Chapel with Chaplain Roland E. Cavanaugh and Rev. Ben Bishop. The family will receive friends following the service. Margaret was born November 20, 1920 in Burke County to Canne Murray and Jesse Small Murray. A member of First Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, husband H.W. “Buck” McCurdy, daughter Winnifred “Winks” Parker, grandchildren Shelby Parker and Robby Disher and great grandchild Murray Hardison. Surviving are her daughter Susan Disher and husband Bob of Burlington, grandchildren; Lindsey Parker and fiancé John C. Bogle of Asheville, NC and McKenzie Disher Hardison and husband Bart of Fuquay Varina, NC, great grandchildren; Elias Hardison and Mary Marshall Hardison.
