Margaret Rickard

Mrs. Margaret Christine Shaw Rickard, 80, of Highway 47, died Saturday, November 7 at the Hinkle Hospice House after an illness of two weeks. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 10 at Cotton Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, by Mike Garrett. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mrs. Rickard was born February 28, 1930 in Davidson County to David Luther Shaw and Naomi Jeanette Cross Shaw. She retired from PPG Industries and a member of Cotton Grove United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Rickard, who died in 1974, and her sister, Naomi Bean. She is survived by her son, Max Edward Morton and his wife, Yvonne, of Lexington; her grandchildren, Marcus Morton, Angela Morton Jones, and Kyle Morton; and her great grandchildren, Trey Morton, Ashleigh Morton, Mackenzie Morton, Caleb Sink, Chance Jones, Tristian Morton, Kaden Morton, and Kyler Morton.
