Margaret Hill Sutphin

October 25, 1931 — January 23, 2009

Margaret Hill Sutphin, 77, of Snider Avenue, Lexington died Friday, January 23, 2009, at her home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with the Revs. Louis Johns, David Shaffer and Chris Lanning. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.   Mrs. Sutphin was a loving and caring person to all she met and a wonderful mother, and grandmother who always had a smile for all.  She was born in Stokes County to Cladie V. Hill and Allie Lawson Hill.  She was retired from Henry Link Furniture and a member of Coggins Memorial Baptist Church.  Her husband, Joe Sutphin, twin brother Morris (Bud) Hill and a very special person, Valerie Hughes, preceded her in death.   Surviving are daughters, Debbie Jones and husband Greg of Tyro and Pam Davis and Larry of Silver Valley; grandchildren, Tysha Dill of Burlington and Kathy Ruchala and family of Boiling Springs, SC; 3 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren; sisters, Norma Jarrell and husband Wayne and Doris Mills all of Mt. Airy.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her daughter Debbie Jones, 3316 Tyro Road.   The family would like to say thank you to all the caring individuals at Hospice, and her Coggins Church Family.  An extra special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Gallup and Dr. Christy Bonnett and their staff at Salem Chest Specialist.    All Grandmothers are made of gold, but ours glitters   Memorials may be directed to Coggins Memorial Baptist Church, 1306 S.
