Margaret Blanche Hodge Triplett, 73, of Lynn Drive, died Sunday, July 12, 2015, at Hinkle Hospice House following a one month illness.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Maple Springs Baptist Church in Ronda, where she was a member, with the Revs. Curtis Ponder and Steve Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home and Wednesday at the church from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service and other times at the home of her daughter on Gray Road.
Mrs. Triplett was born January 4, 1942, in Tennessee, to Arthur Bert Hodge and Mary Ruby Barnes Hodge. She was retired from Lexington Furniture Industries where she had worked as a sander. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Mahala.
Surviving are her loving husband, Eugene Joseph Triplett of the home; daughters, Tammy Long and husband Mike of Lexington, Debbie Testerman, Melissa Roberts and husband Robert, all of Elkin, and Penny Triplett of Hillsville; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; step-father, Carl Tucker; brother, Ernest Hodge and wife Patricia of Lexington; sisters, Barbara Robinson and companion Gene of Amilla, Va., Christine Gebe and husband Bobby,and Diane Herring and fiancé Andrew, all of Lexington; and her special four legged friend, Little Bitty.
