Margaret Tussey

Margaret Frances Hiatt Tussey, 85 of Briggstown Rd. Lexington, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 in Forsyth Select Specialty Hospital in Winston Salem. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday May 16, 2008 at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. Banks Shepard officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Tussey was born in Davidson County on May 8, 1923 to Columbus Cletus Hiatt and Mary Elizabeth Sink Hiatt. She was a homemaker and a member of Becks Reformed Church. Her husband, Joseph Stanley Tussey preceded her in death in 1984 and brothers, Lonnie Hiatt, Reid Hiatt; Flay Hiatt; and sisters, Mildred Hiatt Meadows; Anna Hiatt Shoaf and Mabel Hiatt Hyatt; also preceded her in death. Surviving are, son, Johnny Stanley Tussey and wife Martha; daughter, Pamela Tussey Ward and husband Carl all of Lexington. Three grandchildren Lori Hunt and husband Garry; Derek Tussey and wife Tammy; Carla Singleton and husband Mike, and five great grandchildren, Kelci Hunt; Kolby Hunt; Josh Tussey; Katie Tussey and Drew Singleton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington and at other times at the home on Briggstown Rd.
