Margaret Yarborough

Margaret Yarborough 86, of Davidson County passed away peacefully on Thursday Sept. 16, 2021 at her home. Margaret was born in Davidson County to the late Jesse and Leona Rowe. She was a lifelong member of Second Presbyterian Church (now New Hope Presbyterian Church), where she served as the church organist for 67 years. Margaret’s love of music all her life led her to be a private piano teacher for 65 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband of 63 years, Gilbert ; brothers, Hollis, Kenneth and Benny; sisters-in law, Christine, Mary Jo, Sally, Faye Ann, and Cecilia. A celebration of Margaret’s life will be 1:00 pm Wednesday Sept. 22 at New Hope Presbyterian Church conducted by Revs. Mason Todd, Dwight Cartner and Doug Rowe. The family will visit with family and friends outside on the church lawn from noon until 1:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Memorial Park. She is survived by two children; Graham (Kristina) and Lynne (Charles); grandchildren; Anna, Lydia and Chad (Cady); step grandchildren Kyle (Leslie), Kelly (Josh) and Kory; great-grandchild Parker and step great-grandchildren Hyasen and Kendall; brother-in law Jerry ; sister-in law Alice Ann and host of nieces and nephews. Due to Covid 19, social distancing and mask requirements will be observed. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Music Fund at New Hope Presbyterian Church 200 Cotton Grove Road, Lexington, NC 27292, Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 or to the donors choice.
