Margie Loflin Everhart

March 23, 1928 — August 19, 2019

Margie Elizabeth Loflin Everhart, 91, of Lohr Street in Lexington passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 at Lexington Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm Thursday, August 22 nd at First Reformed United Church of Christ in Lexington officiated by Rev. Elizabeth Horton.  Visitation will be held from 11:00am – 12:00pm prior to the service in the church parlor.

Mrs. Everhart was born in Rowan County on March 23, 1928 to Webster Daniel Loflin and Pearl Lou Clement Loflin.  She retired as a reporter from The Dispatch and was a member of First Reformed UCC in Lexington.  Margie loved the beach, growing beautiful flowers and fishing.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Millie Hunt.

Surviving are her loving husband, Vogen Vennis Everhart, of the home; sons, Mark Everhart (Dr. Jeff Marshall) of Lewisville, NC; Joey Everhart (Barbara), of Taylors, SC; Mike Everhart (Karen), of Denver, NC; daughter, Cathy Hedrick (Andy), of Lexington, NC; sister-in-law, Jackye Biesecker, of Lexington, NC; 6 grandchildren, Leigh Strickland, Kimberly Morrow (Brad), Crystal Townsend (John), Joshua Everhart, Sam Hedrick (Shauna), Brian Hedrick (Kim); and 14 great-grandchildren.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to First Reformed UCC, 104 East Center Street, Lexington, NC 27292.
