Margie Swicegood Hege

Margie Swicegood Hege, 93, of Old Mill Farm Road, died Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2015, at Good Hope United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Revs. Dr. Lauren Anderson and Tommy Robertson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and other times at the home of Dewayne and Lisa Miller. Mrs. Hege was born September 16, 1922, in Davidson County, to Japhia Swicegood and Beulah Leonard Swicegood. She was a Homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira “Jim” Hege, who died July 23, 2002; a daughter, Betty Hege Miller; and an infant brother, Billy. Surviving are her son-in-law, Jimmy Miller of Lexington; grandchildren, Karen Miller Maness and husband Keith and Dewayne Miller and wife Lisa, all of Lexington; six great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Swicegood; and sister, Joann Conrad of Lexington.
