Margie Hudspeth Hines, age 82 of Brian Center, Statesville formerly of Ward Curry Road, Lexington passed away Wednesday afternoon at Brian Center.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday (Oct. 3, 2014) at Becks Reformed church with Rev. James Byars officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service in the Sanctuary.
Margie was born in Iredell County, August 3, 1932 to Cullen Clyde and Dorie Freeze Hudspeth. She was a graduate of Asheboro High School Class of 1950; a retired employee of Lucia, Inc. and Centerclair Nursing Home; and a member of Becks Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years, William Vanhoy (Squeak) Hines on Nov. 17, 2013; son, William Cloys Hines; daughter, Mary Margaret Younts; and son, Jeff Cullen Hines; brothers, Jimmy and Wayne Hudspeth.
Surviving are her daughter, Brenda Hines Davis (Danny) of Statesville; Bentley Craver (Sherry), Robert Younts (Julie), Cathy Sink (Ted); grandchildren, Gary Davis (Melissa), Chris Davis (Misty), Jennifer Ryan (Mitch), Zack (Christen) Hines, Alexi Hines, Andy Younts (Melissa) Stefanie Lanier (Billy) and Matthew Younts (Jessica); great-grandchildren, Cullen Davis, Maddie Davis, Leah Davis, Kaitlyn Lanier, Claire Younts, Samantha Massey, Paul James Massey, Abel Costilla, Izayah Holden, Alexander Ryan, Samantha Ryan, Cullen Hines and Noah Hines; sisters, Sue Lambeth and Judi Hudspeth both of Asheboro; several nieces and nephews.
