Margie Cecil Hunt

Margie Lean Cecil Hunt, 75, of East Center Street in Lexington passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A memorial service will be held 3pm Saturday, August 24 ^th at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington,  conducted by Pastor Clyde Akers.  Visitation will be held from 2-3pm before the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hunt was born in Montgomery County, NC, on April 27, 1944 to Howard Cecil and Addie Bee Cecil Morris.  She was of the Baptist faith.  She was a retired dietician with Mt. Vista Nursing Home and was a farmer’s wife. Margie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Owen; brother, Roy Cecil and sisters, Christine Marshall and Irene Thompson.

Surviving are her sons, Billy Owen (Connie) of Lexington, Greg Talley of Troy; daughters, Bobbie Jo Barker (Jeff Prevost) of Lexington, Betty Sue Gallimore (Fairon) of Trinity, Elaine Talley Allen (Darren) of Star; brother, Bobby Cecil of Lexington; sisters, Gracie Cox and Doris Perkins, both of Denton; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
