Margie Sears

Margie Kiger Sears, age 81, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Coggins Memorial Baptist Church with Pastors Scott Slaughter and Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow at the Lexington City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Mrs. Sears was born in Davie County on June 2, 1937 to John Wesley Kiger and Adella Stuart Kiger. She was a member of Coggins Memorial Baptist Church and was retired from the Industry for the Blind. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sears was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Aaron Sears; six brothers, James, Robert Odell, Otis, Harold, David, and Clarence; and three sisters, Hazel, Ethel, and Helen.

Surviving are her two sons, Randy Sears (Robin) of Lexington and Rodney Sears (Legina) of Welcome; one brothers, John Thomas Kiger (Wanda) of Lexington; six grandchildren, Nicholas Hartsell, Tiffany Sears, Michael Sears, Courtney Sears, Ryan Sears, and Cameron Sears; and one great-granddaughter on the way, Evelyn Paige Sears.
