Maria De La Caridad Fonseca Krueger

Maria De La Caridad Fonseca Krueger (Mima), 85, died Friday, April 24, 2026, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington, with Pastor Paul Titus officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Krueger was born on January 31, 1941, in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, to the late Frank and Isabel Valdivia Fonseca. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Hermann Karl Krueger; and a son, William Abraham Morell.

She enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking, and most importantly, studying the Word of God. Her family was everything and she especially enjoyed spending the holidays with them.

Survivors include her daughter, Isabel Cranston and husband, Gary; her sons, Miguel Morell (Vicki), Adan Morell (Cynthia), all of GA; Daniel Morell (Natalia) of Washington State; 14 grandchildren, Cristina, Jessica, Maria, Scott and wife, Melissa, Santiago “Santi”, Nino (Taffy), Adan II (Catarina), Keisha, Miguel, Jamel, Layla, William, Caleb, and Antonio “Tony”; 10 great-grandchildren, Elijan, Sofia, Evelyn, Ariana, Madeline, Mariah, Josiah, Kamille, Kylie, and Calihan; and a cat, Mellow Yellow.
