Maria Elena Mendoza Carrillo, 89, passed away August 19, 2026, at her home. Interment will follow at a later date at Carretera Pátzcuaro-Chupícuaro Cementerio in San Andrés Ziróndaro, Mich. Mexico.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, August 29, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home.

Maria was born December 1, 1936, in Quiroga, Mexico to Francisco Mendoza and Presiliana Carrillo.

Along with her parents, Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Olloqui, her sons; Erick Olloqui, Juan Olloqui, and daughter, Hortencia Olloqui, son-in-law, Juan Couto.

Left to cherish her memories are her children; Jose Olloqui (Olga Magana), Abel Olloqui (Ernestina Hejia), Jose Luis Olloqui (Silvia Rivera), Angelina Olloqui (Crecensio Tapia), Juana Olloqui, Cecilia Olloqui (Celestino Ruiz), and Guadalupe Olloqui (Escolastico Quintana), and sisters; Estella Mendoza, Maria Mendoza, and Elida Mendoza, 28 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 23 Great Great-grandchildren.
