    Mrs. Marian F. Ivey 69 of Arden Road, Lexington, NC died Sunday, December 12, 2010 in Hinkle Hospice House after a month illness. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, December 16, 2010 at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL with Rev. Bud Powell officiating.. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the residence. Mrs. Ivey was born July 23, 1941 in Amite County, MS., to Aaron A. Freeman and Vermell Gill Freeman. She was a Lead Nurse with Central Sterile at Lexington Memorial Hospital, a member of the Aorn and a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father and then her mother in August 2010, a son, Brian Swing, a brother, John Aaron Freeman and a sister, Hattie Lorette Freeman. Surviving are her husband, Franklin Delano Ivey, of 43 years, of the home; a son, Randy Ivey and wife, Lea, a daughter, Judy Garcia and husband Endre of San Antonio, Texas, grandchildren, Kristen, Brandon, Emanuel, Candace, Jacob; 5 great grandchildren, two brothers, Edward Freeman and wife, Sharon of Kernersville, Roland Freeman and wife, DeLinda of Fayetteville, and two sisters, Louise Bush of Denver, CO, and Margaret Koontz and husband, Stanley of Lexington.
