Marie Fama Jones Fennell

Marie Fama Jones Fennell age 81 of Midway passed away Monday July 18, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday July 21, 2011 at Faith Missionary Alliance Church with Pastors Michael Gates and Albert Smith. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday July 20, 2011 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Marie was born march 31, 1930 in Alleghany County to Connie Lee Jones and Ethel Church Jones. She was retired from Lucent Technologies. She was a member of Faith Missionary Alliance Church and the Red Hat Society. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Loy Hunter Fennell II, her brothers; Floyd Lee Jones and Wayne Jones. Surviving are her son Loy Hunter Fennell III of Waconia, MN, her daughters; Diana Marie Boles and husband David of Winston Salem and Linda Yvonne Ratliff of Lexington, her brother; Johnnie Jones and wife Elsie of Trinity, NC, her grandchildren; John Shannon Sink, Jeremy Trent Sink (Brenda), Stephanie Yvonne Barber (Brian), David Bryon McDaniel (Hope), Todd McDaniel (Vie), her great grandchildren; Zachary, Brianna, Kaitlynn, Danielle, Jonathan, Emma, Devin. Her niece; Carol Brock (Richard), A special friend Betty Jones.
