Marie Cates Harmon

Marie Cates Harmon, 87, of Lexington passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 23,2019 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel, conducted by Rev. Lomax Skinner, with burial to follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory.  The family will see friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Harmon was born April 23, 1931 to Jones Abner Cates and Flora Smith Cates in Davidson County.

Her parents; sons, Rickey and Roger Harmon; a daughter, Rhonda Harmon; brothers, Ted Cates and Franklin (Johnny) Cates and a sister, Reba Mills all preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband, Carl M. Harmon, Jr., of the home; her son, Eric Harmon (Stephanie) of Lexington; daughters, Karen Everhart (John) of Lexington; and Amy Alderman (Mike) of Lewisville. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and Prissy, her canine companion.
