Marie Myers

Marie Norman Myers, 80 of Swicegood Rd Linwood passed away at Hinkle Hospice House on February 4, 2014. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. Joe Solomon and Pastor Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Charity Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mrs. Myers was born in Forsyth County on April 28, 1923 to George Washington Norman and Agnes Holt Norman. She was a homemaker and a member of True Word Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Walter Lee Myers. Surviving are sons, Danny Myers (Diane) and Paul Myers, Sr.(Angie) both of Lexingto; daughter, Janice Myers Lawson(Allen) of Thomasville, grandchildren, Paul Myers, Jr., Luke Myers, Brandon Myers, Brandy Frick, Travis Myers and Andy Lawson;7 great grandchildren; brothers, Glenn Norman, E. D Norman, Fred Norman, Lige Norman Albert Norman, all of Lexington and special friend, Billy Miller of Lexington. She is also survived by her loving dog, Tommy.
