Marie Gullet Turner

Florence Marie Gullet Turner, 95, of Lexington passed away Friday, March 19, 2021.

A service will be held at Davidson Funeral Home on Monday at 3 PM officiated by Darren Alexander; it will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/davidson.funeral. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.

Mrs. Turner was born on January 7, 1926, in Davie County to Alex Gullet and Ethel Whitlock Gullet. She was known for her chicken pies, oil paintings, ceramics, and knitting. Marie loved beach trips, but above anything else, she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel Emanuel Turner Sr; a son, Eric Turner; three brothers, Robert Gullet, Lomas Gullet, and Walter Gullet; and three sisters, Virginia Poole, Pauline Foster, and Mozell Veach.

Surviving is her son, Samuel “Sandy” Turner Jr. (Betty) of Greensboro; a daughter, Sheila Priddy (Larry) of Lexington; a daughter in-law, Bonnie Turner; two grandchildren, Joshua Priddy (Brandi) and Nicholas Priddy (Misty); and six great-grandchildren, Colson, E.J., Lilly-Belle “Ladybug”, Landon, Sam, and Ellie Marie.
