Marilyn Stacy

Marilyn Myers Stacy, 61, of Goforth Lake Road, died Sunday, December 14 at her home after declining health of several years. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, December 18 at Reeds United Methodist Church, by the Revs. Duncan Martin and Clyde Akers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of her sister, Helen Benton, 1090 John Young Road, Lexington. Mrs. Stacy was born January 24, 1953 in Davidson County to Ervin Kenneth Myers and Doris Jane Oakley Myers. She was a manager for Burger King and a member of Reeds United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, James Robert Stacy of the home; her son, Kenneth Thorne and wife, Kristen, of Denver, NC; her step-son, Bobby Stacy of Lexington; her brother, Ken Myers of Lexington; her sisters, Helen Benton and husband, Bill, of Lexington, and Kathy Clonts and husband, Jerry, of Morehead City; and her grandchildren, Austin Thorne, Adelyn Thorne and Emily Stacy.
