Mark Gregory “Greg” Morrow passed away at home on Friday, March 13, 2026. He was the son of Curtis Morrow and Jean (Story) Morrow of Lexington, North Carolina.
Greg grew up attending Second Presbyterian (New Hope) Church, where he became involved with Boy Scout Troop 239. Through his dedication and leadership, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. The principles of Scouting—duty to God and duty to country—remained values he carried throughout his life.
As a teenager, Greg delivered newspapers for the local publications True Grit and The Dispatch. He graduated from Lexington Senior High School in 1976, where he participated in the school band and on the wrestling team. During his time in band, he received the prestigious John Philip Sousa Award, the highest honor given to a band member.
After graduation, Greg attended Winston-Salem Barber School and began his professional career at Lexington’s Men’s Den. He quickly developed a reputation for his creativity and talent, winning numerous awards at regional hair shows and in Toronto, Canada. During his time in Toronto, he furthered his studies in hair styling and earned additional accolades. In the early 1980s, Greg opened his own salon, MGM Design Group, in downtown Lexington.
In 1981, Greg met the love of his life, Holly Wilson. The two married and built a loving home together, raising Holly’s daughter, Erin. Their family later grew with the birth of two daughters, Jane Gillian and Merrie Alison. Greg’s family was the center of his life and his greatest source of pride and joy.
Greg also dedicated many years to coaching swimming. He coached swim teams at Midway Pool, North Davidson High School, and Ledford High School, and organized and led swim clinics. He also coached swimming at Winston-Salem State University and served as a lifeguard at the YWCA in Winston-Salem. His passion for the sport and inventive spirit even led him to design a springboard starting block.
Music was another lifelong passion for Greg. He founded the band MG & The Keys and later established the music publishing company AMI (Associated Music International). The band filmed a music video for their single Book of Shattered Dreams in downtown Lexington. Their music and merchandise were sold worldwide and remain available today on music platforms.
Greg’s creativity extended into many ventures, including the creation of King Bungee Surfboards, skateboards, and the King Bungee cartoon.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife, Holly Morrow; daughters Erin DelosReyes (Paul) of Wake Forest, Gillian Morrow of Morehead City, and Merrie Morrow of Charlotte; his sister, Thaedra Withrow (Chris) of Charlotte; and his beloved grandchildren, Wilson DelosReyes, Max DelosReyes, and Remi Jane Morrow-Hamm.
Greg will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was deeply loved by his family. They find comfort in knowing he rests in paradise through his profound faith in Jesus Christ.
