Marlene Annette Brookshire

Marlene Annette Brookshire, 68, of Lakewood Drive, died suddenly Sunday, February 15, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center. A memorial service will be 8 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Rummage officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 prior to the service and other times at the home. Mrs. Brookshire was born November 26, 1946, in Rowan County, to Ray Wincoff and Mabel Gibson Wincoff. She worked with PPG for 42 years where she was Assistant to the plant manager and helped employees with their benefits. She also enjoyed reading and had a great love for her family. She especially enjoyed Christmas, getting her family together, and giving out presents. Surviving are her loving husband, Lee Willis Brookshire of the home; son, Chris Brookshire of Lexington; grandchildren, Kayla and Ricky Brookshire; and brother, Jerry Wincoff and wife Nancy of Salisbury.
