Marshall Lee Brown

August 30, 1930 — October 24, 2018

Marshall Lee Brown age 88 of New Bowers Road, Lexington passed away Wednesday morning, October 24, 2018 at his home.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Holly Grove Lutheran Church, where he was a member with Rev. Matt Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by US National Guard and Davidson County Honor Guard The family will receive friends in the church sancuary from 9:45 until 10:45 prior to the service.

Marshall was born in Davidson County August 30, 1930 to William James Brown and Kathleen Koonts Brown. He retired from the Department of the Army-National Guard with 23 years service and was a retired employee of Young Hinkle Furniture. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Louise Leonard and a brother Grady Brown.

Surviving are his daughters, Debbie Brown Foster (Rick) and LuAnn Brown Michael (Marshall) all of Lexington; lifelong companion, Gaynell Davis of the home; son, Joe Davis (Jennifer) of Lexington; grandchildren, Ashley Lambert, Jonathan Foster, Adrianne Michael Kerr, Mary Davis and Sarah Grace Davis; great-grandchildren, Eli, Dillon, Garrett and Grayson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Holly Grove Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 212 Holly Grove Lutheran Church Road, Lexington, NC 27292 or to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292
