Marshall Wayne Simmons

Marshall Wayne Simmons, 51, of Southbound Street in Lexington passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 13 at Oak Ridge Cemetery, 1019 W. Broad Street, St. Paul, NC with Jimmy Baxley officiating the service.  Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 12 at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Marshall was born in Hanover County, NC on June 24, 1967 to Donald Ralph Simmons and Betty Fowler Simmons.  He worked as a shipping clerk for Packaging Corporation of America.  He was preceded in death by his mother.

Surviving is his loving wife, Billie Jean Baxley Simmons, of the home; sons, Joseph Parker (Beth) of Lexington, Christopher Parker of Lexington, and Travis Simmons; brother, Ralph Simmons (Linda) of Asheboro; sister, Glenda Jarrett (Chris) of Randleman; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
