Martha Bivens Berrier

Martha Bivens Berrier, age 70, of Hoover Drive Lexington North Carolina, died Friday May 3, 2013 at her home. A visitation will be held 6 to 8 Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel, and at other times at the home on Hoover Drive. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at Madison Heights Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. David Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Berrier was born November 15, 1942 in Davidson County to Frank John Bivens and Oleta Bean Bivens. She was active in her church and helped start the Children’s Church Program at Madison Heights Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband William Jake Berrier, a daughter Lavena Lynn Harmon, a brother, David Bivens, a sister Ruth Hughes and her father. Mrs. Berrier is survivied by her mother, one son; Michael Harmon (Carol) of Lexington, two daughters; Debra Owens of Thomasville and Becky Byerly (Paul) of Lexington, one brother Jerry Bivens (Tootsie) of Lexington, two sisters; Carol Sykes of Georgia and Linda Miliam of Lexington, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
