Martha Berry

Martha Ann Stevenson Berry, 76, of Parks Road, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2009, at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she attended, by the Rev. Wayne Knight and Rev. Steve Brooks. Mrs. Berry was born August 6, 1932, in Guilford County, to James Stevenson and Lena Allred Stevenson. She was retired from Mid State Tile. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Sterling William Berry; and daughter, Tina Berry. Surviving are her sons, Keith William Berry and wife, Joyce, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jeff Wayne Berry of Welcome; daughters, Patricia Weaver and husband, Robert, Donna Swicegood and husband, Jimmy, and Tammy Gonzalez and husband, Roger, all of Lexington; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of the daughter, Donna, of 4650 Parks Road.
