Martha Black

Martha JoAnn Clark Black, 87, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 1, 2022.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Pastor Mike Fritts officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm Monday at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Black was born in Davidson County on May 7, 1934, to CC Clark and Roxie Morgan Clark. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Black; two brothers, Pete Clark, and Nig Clark; and two sisters, Hazel Brammer, and Nancy Lanier.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kim Black (Susan), and Tammy Daniels (Pete); three brothers, Joe Clark, Jim Clark (Jenny), and Jerry Clark (Margaret); four sisters, Becky Mize, Doris Bassett, Jean Shoaf (Johnny), and Jane Anderson (Gary); five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
